The Loud Librarian

Every week a different student was chosen to be the student librarian, the person who will assist in the library with checking out books, returning books to shelves, signing students on and off the computers, and much more. Penelope had been training for this for a long time: alphabetizing everything at home, practicing pushing carts, and putting due-date stickers on things.

At last, Mr. Park, Penelope’s teacher, announces it is her turn to be student librarian. There is only one thing Penelope didn’t practice: using a quiet library voice. Penelope is so loud that when she talks, astronauts on the space station know about it! What havoc will she cause? Can she find a way to be successful as a student librarian?
