The book has little workbook sections for readers to doodle and brainstorm. With chapters on drawing lightly, drawing straight lines and circles, proportions of a face and body, shapes, colors, and other design elements, anyone can follow along with the tracing worksheets to perfect their hand at drawing.

I love the fact that this book really takes its readers through all the simple steps to perfect each one before jumping to more complicated drawings. For example, being able to draw circles in different sizes is important, so your characters have the proportions you want them to. Each chapter builds on the one before it, and before you know it, you have your very own cute character! This book reminds me of the Ed Emberley How to Draw books I read as a child. I love the step-by-step process of drawing.
