You Only Call When You’re in Trouble: A Novel
Families can be difficult, particularly when there is a single mother who, apparently, has no idea how to raise a child. That is when the uncle and well-meaning friends stepped in to ameliorate the turbulent home life of the daughter, Cecily. Cecily, against the odds, has made a successful life as a teacher. She also has a seemingly stable relationship, which is not what she is accustomed to.
Her Uncle Tom, an architect, is always ready to step in to handle any problem or obstacle in Cecily’s way. When she is accused of an impropriety, she heads off to seek the advice and comfort of her uncle. However, this time, Tom has troubles of his own. Meanwhile, Cecily’s mother is caught up in her latest venture and has a life threatening illness. Of course, Tom and Cecily head there to provide adult stability for the wayward mom.
You Only Call When You’re in Trouble is an interesting book and a fun read.
