When the Wolf Comes Home
Jess just had a really bad day at work, but her day is about to get even worse when she finds a five-year-old boy outside her apartment. The boy’s father comes looking for him and things turn bloody real fast. Next thing she knows, Jess is on the run with this boy and the bodies are starting to pile up. When Jess finds out what’s really going on, she can barely comprehend. All she knows is that no one will be spared When the Wolf Comes Home.
I’m not really sure what to say about this book. It’s certainly horrifying, but more in a grisly way than a spooky one. There is a lot of graphic death in this one, so if you’re squeamish, this is not the book for you. I understand the author was trying to make a point about the complexity of fathers, but it got kind of lost amongst all the gore. I’m sure if you enjoy his other books, you will love this. I think it’s my last Nat Cassidy book, though.
