Watch Where They Hide: A Jordan Manning Novel (Jordan Manning series, 2)

Chicago reporter Jordan Manning, after breaking a huge serial killer case wide open and earning a reputation as a top investigative reporter, receives an interesting phone call. A mysterious woman calls the station asking to speak with her. The woman turns out to be the sister of a single mom from a small town in Indiana, who dropped one of her children off at daycare then vanished weeks ago.

As she starts making inquiries, she realizes not everything is as it seems, but Jordan is like a dog with a bone: once she gets the scent, she doesn’t let go until she has the story. Chasing the story, struggling with her personal life and finding balance is proving hard to accomplish. Will her investigative skills that border on vigilantism get her out of danger while getting the story?

This was a slow burn, but the story was interesting enough to keep my attention. There is great character development and an authentic feel to the storyline. This multifaceted mystery will keep you guessing until the end. This can be read as a standalone novel and I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys crime fiction.
