Mysteries of Thorn Manor
Not all is well at Thorn Manor. Something has upset the house’s wards and won’t let the occupants leave. Elizabeth is ready to take on the magic with her sword, but Nathaniel would rather leave it. Mercy is terrified, not only because of what lies outside the house, but inside as well, and Silas knows more than he’ll say. Together, Elizabeth and Nathaniel must find out what upset the sorcery before the house accidentally destroys itself. And is it really a coincidence that their relationship has taken the next step when everything started?
In this novella, readers are taken once again to the fantastic world where books are alive and librarians are tasked with protecting the world from them. The story takes place not long after the events of Sorcery of Thorns, but instead of a grand adventure, the story is cozy and fun. Sure, there are stakes, but it’s more about the relationships, not only of Elizabeth and Nathaniel but Silas and their newest member, Mercy as well. If you enjoyed the first book, then you’ll enjoy this one, too. It’s fun to see characters that I love in a more domestic setting. Well, if you can call running around with a sword, cursed objects, and hidden rooms domestic.
