Macarons Can Be Murder
In the small town of Paris, Kentucky, a young woman named Marci Beaucoup owns a French bakery where she works with her aunt to make delicious pastries. One day, a tall, handsome stranger walks into her shop. She is smitten right away. His name is Antoine and he is French. A few moments later, a woman named Kellie walks in. She is distraught with her makeup running down her face. Antoine quiets her down and they leave. The next day, Kellie is found dead in front of the bakery. Could it be Antoine is a murderer? Marci doesn’t think this could be true and decides to take it upon herself to find out who the real killer is.
This cozy mystery is fun and exciting. The reader is able to follow Marci as she does her detective work. Marci finds herself in sticky situations many times including being kidnapped during a festival. There is also a love triangle she finds herself in with Antoine and the local police detective Maverick. This book is the perfect book to hunker down with a cup of tea and of course, a delicious pastry.
