Mississippi Blue 42
Rae Johnson is a recent addition to the FBI and has been assigned to work with a veteran agent down in Compson, Mississippi. When Special Agent Frank Ranchino informs Rae about a possible White Collar investigation involving payoffs to college football players, her interest is piqued. Rae is the daughter of legendary NCAA football coach Chuck Johnson, and she knows the ins and outs of the gridiron, having shadowed her father for most of her youth. While she knows her father wouldn’t be involved in unsavory practices, she can’t say the same for the University of Central Mississippi team. Ranchino’s evidence is circumstantial, but the case gets more interesting after the untimely death of UCM’s star quarterback. Rae begins to investigate the alleged bagmen who exert influence over the athletes and soon discovers an unforeseen conspiracy that could shake the football world.
