Spacemania: Encyclopedia of the Universe
From the beginning of humanity, people of all ages looked to the stars with awe and wonder. We used the stars to guide us and made stories explaining what we saw. Scientists have found ways to get closer looks and continue to discover more and more. We have sent astronauts into space and landed people on the moon. We understand more now than ever before and continue to learn. Scientists understand so much that it would be impossible to contain all their knowledge in one book. However, a book introducing people to space and many important discoveries would be helpful.
Spacemania: Encyclopedia of the Universe is a wonderfully informative illustrated guide to space. Written by Pavel Gabzdyl, a planetary scientist from the Czech Republic, and illustrated by Tomas Tuma, this easy-to-understand picture book is packed with everything related to space. Each chapter covers a different aspect, from the origins to observing the universe, to space flight, and even looks to the future of colonizing distant planets and moons. The language will be easily understood by all ages. The illustrations are highly detailed. It is never too early to dream of being a rocket scientist, space explorer, or planetary scientist, and this book is a fantastic introduction.
