Spaghetti Head & Chicken Fingers
Spaghetti Head & Chicken Fingers, written by Rhett & Link and illustrated by Erica Salcedo, is the story of a boy named Lumo who loves chicken fingers so much. If Lumo wasn’t eating chicken fingers, he was dreaming about them. Saffy is a new girl in town who hates just about every food she has ever tasted. She finds something wrong with everything. The only food that Saffy likes is plain buttered spaghetti. Then, there’s a storm, and Lumo wakes up with chicken fingers for fingers. Saffy wakes up with spaghetti hair. Lumo and Saffy end up at the same lunch table, and both decide to eat their favorite foods right off their bodies. Pretty soon, all of the food in the cafeteria was contaminated with spaghetti or chicken fingers. There was a spaghetti burger for Saffy and a chicken finger taco for Lumo, and they decided eating other foods wasn’t so bad. This book was cute, but a little odd, with the food being eaten off of their fingers and hair. The illustrations are vivid, and children of all ages will enjoy them.
