Hollywood Payback

Hollywood Payback is Jon Lindstrom’s second book, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. In this book, the characters are even more gritty and grimy than in his first. Aspiring actor Jake Ferguson finds himself in a place he never intended to be—prison. The robbery had gone just fine, but his hotheaded business partner, Damon, ended up shooting a lady in the head after Jake accidentally ran into her with the getaway car. After twenty-something years in prison, Jake is finally out. Although he tries to lay low, he finds himself working a job that seemed innocent at the time of taking. He would just be a driver for his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend, Eric. But things are never that simple for Jake. And by the time he figures out what’s really going on, it’s not only his life that’s on the line.

Hollywood Payback is full of bad guys and more bad guys. In fact, I think Jake might just be the only good guy in the whole book. Fast-paced and cinematic from cover to cover, this book will keep readers on their toes.
